Glass Cullet
Sorted, decontaminated cullet from verified feedstock streams. Color-separated, sized, and quality-controlled for downstream furnace, insulation, and manufacturing applications.
What is Glass Cullet?
Glass cullet is broken glass pieces recovered from known source streams — automotive windshields, architectural laminated glass, flat/float glass, and container glass. Each stream is processed separately to maintain compositional integrity and ensure traceability.
At Aavishkar, cullet passes through magnetic separation, eddy current cleaning, and optical sorting to remove metals, ceramics, rubber, and organic contaminants. The result is furnace-ready secondary glass with documented contamination limits.

1–1.5 MT Jumbo Bags / Bulk
Quality Criteria & Downstream Use
Each batch traceable to automotive, architectural, or container glass feedstock
Sorted by clear, green, amber or supplied as mixed per buyer specification
Ferrous < 5 ppm via magnetic separation; non-ferrous via eddy current cleaning
< 0.05% after mechanical-chemical delamination and air classification
< 0.2% — no additional drying required before furnace batch
Available Cullet Products
Automotive Windshield Glass Cullet (Light Green / Clear)
Furnace-ready secondary glass cullet recovered from automotive windshields, free of rubber, plastic, and metal contamination (2mm–30mm size).
Cullet Specification Reference
Per the developer brief, each cullet product should include these essential data fields. Values are product-specific.
| Parameter | Description | Importance |
|---|---|---|
| Color / Appearance | Clear, green, amber, or mixed — sorted per buyer specification | Determines furnace batch compatibility |
| Fraction Size Range | 2mm–30mm uniform screening; specify pass/retain sieve sizes | Affects melt uniformity and batch charging |
| Glass Family (if known) | Soda-lime-silica for most automotive and container streams | Cross-contamination with borosilicate can cause defects |
| Non-Glass Contamination | Metals < 5ppm, PVB < 0.05%, ceramics/stones exclusion | Critical for glass quality and furnace integrity |
| Moisture Content | < 0.2% — no additional drying needed before batch | Excess moisture affects furnace energy and safety |
| Packaging & Load | 1 MT / 1.5 MT jumbo bags or loose bulk dumpers | Logistics planning for buyer |
| QC / Lot Date | Batch traceability with lot number and QC inspection date | Ensures supply chain confidence |
